Looking for a role where you can genuinely make a difference?
At Powers Geospatial Consultants, we’re looking for someone who enjoys bringing order to complexity, keeping people and processes on track, and taking ownership of the systems that help a successful business run smoothly.
This isn’t a corporate HR role hidden behind layers of management.
You’ll work directly with the Directors, have real influence over how things are done, and play a key role in supporting our people, maintaining our ISO management systems, and helping the business continue to grow.
We’re an established geospatial surveying company with a reputation for quality, professionalism and long-term client relationships. Now we’re looking for the right person to become a central part of our leadership support team for years to come.
Why join Powers?
We’re not offering endless corporate meetings, bureaucracy or office politics.
We are offering:
- A permanent, full-time role with long-term stability
- Direct access to decision-makers
- Real ownership of your area of responsibility
- A varied role where no two days are the same
- Professional training and development
- A supportive team who genuinely value what you do
- Flexible support for important family commitments
- Quarterly bonus opportunities
- Professional membership paid where relevant.
Most importantly, you’ll be joining a business where your contribution is visible every day.
What you'll be doing
You’ll become the person who helps keep Powers organised, compliant and running efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include:
- HR administration and employee records
- Recruitment and onboarding
- Training and competence management
- Payroll and benefits administration
- Maintaining our ISO management systems
- Internal audits and compliance activities
- Policy and document control
- Organising staff meetings and tracking actions
- Supporting continuous improvement across the business.
- Tackling office projects from time to time.
Rather than managing large teams, you’ll be managing systems, processes and standards that help everyone perform at their best.
This role is likely to suit you if…
- You enjoy being organised and helping others stay organised
- You take pride in accurate records and well-managed systems
- You like improving processes and finding better ways of working
- You can confidently hold people accountable while maintaining positive relationships
- You enjoy working in a growing SME environment
- You want a long-term role where your work genuinely matters.
This role probably isn’t for you if…
- You’re looking for a remote or hybrid role
- You prefer highly specialised HR-only positions
- You dislike chasing actions and maintaining standards
- You’d rather work within a large corporate structure.
What we’re looking for
We’re more interested in finding the right person than ticking every box.
You’ll ideally have experience in HR administration, office management, compliance coordination or a similar business support role.
Experience with ISO management systems would be beneficial, and we’ll support the right person with additional training where needed.
CIPD qualifications and ISO Internal Auditor training are advantageous but not essential.
What we're offering
- A salary of £35,000 – £40,000 depending on experience.
- Quarterly bonus if performance targets achieved.
- Professional membership paid.
- Support with further training and development.
- 21 days holiday plus your birthday off.
- Christmas vouchers.
- Employee Assistance Programme.
- Casual dress
- Company pension
- Free flu jabs
- Free On-site parking
