What is CCTV and Drainage Investigation
CCTV drainage surveys inspect underground drainage systems using remote camera equipment. The survey records pipe condition, alignment, connections and defects within the drainage network.
Powers carries out CCTV investigations only on drains that are part of an underground services detection survey to level PAS 128 Type B. This means clients will get the full story about what’s going on underground before designs begin.
Drainage failures do not usually carry the same immediate hazard as striking a live power cable, but unknown drainage can still cause flooding, collapses, aborted excavations and redesign costs. A drainage investigation reduces hidden risk before works disturb buried pipework.
